    Legal Update with Lucas Mapplebeck – Extended Luncheon

    We will be hosting an extended luncheon with a LEGAL UPDATE from local attorney, Lucas Mapplebeck

    Registration will commence at 9:45 am for a 10:00am start.  Coffee and pastries upon arrival

    Lucas Mapplebeck is a lawyer with Filion Wakely Throup Angeletti LLP and has been with the firm, representing employer clients, since 2016. Filion Wakely is an employer focused law firm ranked as one of Canada’s Top 10 management-side labour and employment law boutiques by Canadian Lawyer magazine. Lucas works out of the firm’s Hamilton office.

    Lucas primarily litigates representing employers before the courts and various administrative tribunals in all areas of labour and employment law. Lucas has argued before the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Divisional Court, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board and other administrative tribunals. As a former teacher and college instructor, Lucas recognizes the value of education and is particularly interested in informing and training human resources professionals so that they are informed about current legal trends and can take a proactive approach to managing legal risks in the workplace.
